Nathan Graham, Actor, FeedbackPro, Street Theatre, Casting Workshop
  • Corinna McFarlane (she/her) is an acclaimed film director whose career began in theatre. By the age of 18, she was writing, directing, performing and producing, through her own company of actors. Awarded a prize for entrepreneurship by the University of Sussex, where she was studying Political Science, Corinna took sold-out, critically acclaimed shows from Brighton’s Komedia Theatre to several iconic London fringe venues and on to 4-star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

At 22, Corinna landed her first role as a film producer on the low-budget British indie, The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael, directed by Thomas Clay. Against all the odds, Corinna and the young team succeeded in bringing the film to compete for the Camera D’Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2005.

Corinna went on to direct, produce and edit the award-winning indie documentary Three Miles North of Molkom. The film was a resounding critical success, theatrically released by Metrodome in the UK in 2009, Wildbunch in Europe and IFC in North America. The film acquired a string of prestigious international nominations; the Audience Award for best film (including dramas) at the Goteborg Film Festival, a finalist in the Audience Award tables at IDFA and was nominated for a British Independent Film Award for Best British Documentary.

The remake rights for Corinna’s documentary debut sparked a bidding frenzy in Hollywood. Choosing to maintain involvement as an executive producer and to work in the UK, Corinna struck a deal with Dan Mazer (long term Sacha Baron Cohen collaborator – Borat, Bruno, Ali G) and his producers, Oscar winning production company, Blueprint Pictures (Three Billboards Outside of Missouri, The Banshees of Inisherin). The project is in development with the support of the BFI.

Ready to write her first feature film script, Corinna set off to find inspiration from her Scottish roots. She converted the back of a long-wheel-base Land Rover so she could sleep in it and spent the next year travelling the Highlands. The Silent Storm is the script that came out of that process. Returning to London, Corinna joined forces with producer Nicky Bentham (The Duke, Moon) and her writing caught the attention of iconic film producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. The script became Corinna’s dramatic debut and EON’s first foray into independent filmmaking outside of James Bond. The film starred British actors, Andrea Riseborough and Damian Lewis and, after its premiere at the London Film Festival 2015, was immediately picked up by SONY for international release.

Corinna’s exciting working relationship with Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson continued; the producers sent Corinna to LA to develop and write a psychological thriller script. This project remains confidential.

After 15 years working in the film industry, Corinna took time out and moved first to India, then to Italy, to embark on her journey into motherhood. During this time, her friendship with children’s author Michael Morpurgo inspired Corinna to start developing My Summer as Mia, a feminist re-telling of a true story Michael shared with her, a story that inspired him to write War Horse.

Alongside raising her two children in Somerset, Corinna is now working with multi-Cannes award-winning producer Louis Tisné (Border, The 8 Mountains) and the BFI on My Summer as Mia, currently casting for a Summer 2023 UK/Vietnam shoot.

1

After ordering, you will receive an email with questions on what feedback you would like to hear and details on how to submit your tape or your questions (tapes 5 min max.)

2

Once submitted, you will receive a voice note with feedback from your chosen creative. Feedback will be returned within the week, unless you’ve chosen the express 24 hour option.

3

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unless you have chosen the express option, feedback will be returned within the week, and sometimes within 48 hours of your tape being received by Street Theatre. Please mention if you have a specific time frame you are working towards when you submit your tape.

There is a 24 hour express option which means your tape will be sent to any of the incredible creatives that have experience in your area of discipline.

Please note working hours are Monday-Friday.

  • You will receive your feedback via a voice-note forwarded to you from WhatsApp by the team at Street Theatre.

  • After you purchase a feedback review, you will be sent an email with questions that you are encouraged to fill out and send across with your tape for the creative which will help them give you relevant feedback.

You are also welcome to ask a questions instead of submitting a tape. This could include getting opinions on your Spotlight, showreel, or any other number of industry questions, like how to get started!

  • Only one team member at Street Theatre and the specific creative will see your self-tape. Once the feedback has been given your tape will be deleted by all parties.

The example tapes you see on our website and on social media have all been approved with the various actors and dancers.

  • -You can submit an informal or a formal self-tape. You will be given feedback based on your performance, not how professional your tape looks.

-You are also welcome to submit a tape to get feedback on your set-up if you are planning on submitting to agents or Casting Directors.

-It is always best to film in landscape.

-We recommend filming in a room with soft furnishings as our creatives will be able to hear you best this way.

-Please keep your tape under 5 minutes.

  • You are welcome to ask any question you might have relating to the performing arts. Feel free to add in a few questions for the creative.

    Here are some examples:

How do I get an agent?

What’s the best way to showcase myself on Spotlight?

How do I get auditions for Musical Theatre?

Can I ask for feedback on my showreel/vocal reel?

Do I have to be a member of Spotlight?

    Should I join equity?

What should I wear to auditions?

Do I need to be off-book for scenes in auditions?

Can you recommend a singing or acting teacher?

If I’m seen for a recall, can I wear and sing the same as the first audition?

Which colleges are best for acting/singing/dancing?

  • Take a look at the creative’s bios. You will be able to see which disciplines they offer including singing, dancing and acting.

  • All purchased sessions last for 12 months. If you don’t submit within the first month, we can not guarantee your chosen creative will still be available, but you will be welcome to choose another creative when you submit your tape or question.

  • Workshops with Casting Directors are educational and should never be considered a job interview or audition. Attending workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor. The presence of a Casting Director is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. Contact with a Casting Director at a workshop rarely results in any further contact with that Casting Director or any company affiliated with that Casting Director.

  • Not at all! Each creative on the FeedbackPro team was selected because of their kindness and desire to help actors and dancers reach their potential (in addition to their very impressive credits). Many of the creatives have even spent time teaching at some of the top drama schools. They know this is not an audition or formal tape and are keen to help you excel!
